In addition to our well-rounded learning curriculum, DK Schoolhouse offers a variety of engaging extra-curricular activities for your child to enjoy.
Field-Trips are provided to give students educational experiences away from their regular classroom environment and provide an interesting break in routine. We incorporate field trips into our curriculum to add context to the topics being studied in class. Field trips are hosted three times per year for little or no added cost. Students learn about different professions, practical life skills and how they can make a positive impact on their local and global community. All field trip locations are vetted in advance to ensure the utmost levels of safety. Our field trip partners are very accommodating in providing child-safe facilities, interactive presentations and extra treats for students to take home.
What is it?
One of the best ways to promote your child’s creativity is through music and movement. Our dance class for children aged 5 – 8 years is designed to foster creativity, freedom, expression in movement, and a love for dance. Through interactive practice sessions 2 times per week, students learn dance routines, sequences and simple exercises to help them make a start of musical interpretation.

JUNIOR MASTER CHEF
The Junior Master Chef program for children aged 5 – 8 gives students an introduction to basic cooking skills. Children are taught kitchen safety, hygiene and nutrition, and develop a love for the culinary arts. All our recipes include fresh, locally sourced products. Each class includes six sessions with a different produce feature, and sessions are divided into two main components: a tasting activity and a cooking activity.
The tasting activity introduces the children to different fruit & vegetable varieties. Next, the children prepare a recipe using one of the fruit & vegetable varieties for the cooking activity. The classes are interactive and have been thoroughly tested and kid approved.
