The Kindergarten classes are divided into two learning levels aged 4-5 and 5-6 years. Our program is designed to give children an enriching early learning experience and introduce them to more structured learning. In K1, students rotate through a mix of free-choice and guided teacher-directed activities through out the day. Beginner writing, early reading, hands-on math and interactive science are introduced. Cooking, art and drama are just a few of the ways we have fun in K1.
The second level of our Kindergarten program, K2, is the preparatory class before entering primary school. In K2 students carry on learning concepts of daily reading, emergent writing and number representation. We focus on communication and literacy skills and use theme-based learning concepts combined with plenty of opportunities for children to learn outside the classroom. Social Studies, science, swimming, sports & the arts make for an eventful daily learning schedule.
Both classes utilize the “All About Learning” accredited US program that teaches phonics, decoding, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension. It lays the foundation for sounding out unknown words and for correct English spelling. Each lesson includes multi-sensory instruction which is both fun and engaging.
