Newsletters, student updates and regular face-to-face meetings keep teachers, students and parents in sync. Collaborating with parents is the key to creating motivated, happy students and building a terrific school environment. We have several ways for parents to keep in touch:
Monthly Newsletter (include editable link to latest newsletter?)
The DK Schoolhouse newsletter is sent to parent emails on the 30th each month, and the link is posted on Class Dojo. Please ensure you keep the school informed of any change in email address.
If you have a query about a school issue, you may find your answer right here on this site. You can also contact us directly by phone, email or visit.
Class Dojo is a secured communication platform for parents, teachers and students. It is the single most important way to keep track of school information. Dojo connects parents with students and teachers to build an interactive school community. Class learning updates are published to Dojo each week on Friday. Information on events, attendance checks and notice of injury or illness is also posted via Class Dojo. You can sign up for our Class Dojo App here
School Information Board
We post photo displays, notice of upcoming holidays and other informative information on our school bulletin board. During pick up’s and drop offs, stop by and have a look at what’s new on the information board.
Scheduled Parent Meetings
There are times through out the year where your child’s class teacher may request to meet with you to discuss aspects of your child’s learning. You are free to arrange a meeting at a mutually convenient time to discuss any questions or concerns you may have about your child.
We host parent – teacher conferences at the end of each term, 3 times per year. Parent- teacher conferences are a great way to get an overview of your child’s learning progression through out the term, as well as give us your feedback. It is very important to let the school know if you can NOT make it for conference day, so that another date can be provided.
