We have just incorporated a new phonics program into our Pre-K 2, Kindergarten and Grade 1 curriculums. “All About Reading” is a complete program that teaches phonics, decoding, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension in a format that nurtures visual, auditory and tactile learning pathways. It lays the foundation for sounding out unknown words and for correct English spelling. Each lesson includes multisensory instruction which is both fun and engaging. It ensures that students, whatever their dominant learning style, get a solid foundation without learning gaps. All About Reading includes storybooks, puppets and a variety of games to keep students engaged and having fun while learning.
2. KICKY & MRT
Cambodia’s first Robotics Program is a fun way for children 5 years and above to learn how to make robots work. It helps them use their critical thinking skills, problem solving, mathematics, science and language in completing each task.
By using these Lego Education products, children also learn how to design, construct and program robots, as well as use them to perform different tasks. Their understanding and skills are progressively guided from different levels starting with Basic Robotics, Junior Robotics Levels 1 and 2 all the way to Senior Robotics! We even recently had a visit from the Advanced Learning Academy who showed our students the ins and out of how to use the program. It was a load of fun.
The Robotics Program helps children:
Strengthen decision-making capabilities, problem-solving and planning skills
Boost concentration and creativity
Develop self-confidence and determination
Enhance social skills, cooperation and respect
Improve eye-hand coordination and listening skills
Level 1 :(KICKY)
Students will create models of animals and machines from the Kicky Lego set. Our teachers identify the needs students to find their strengths and weaknesses in order to help them become more well-rounded individuals. Teachers conduct these classes in groups and help support student’s individual needs. This level focuses on the basics of programing and incorporating different sensors to create a cause and effect reaction.
Level 2: (MRT)
The amount of pieces and skill set required are increase as well as the fine motor skills needed to complete each model. At the end of the syllabus students will learn how to program the models themselves.
